Harris County deputy charged with stalking

A Harris County Sheriff’s deputy was charged with stalking his former girlfriend after he was given an official notice to stay away from her apartment, authorities said.

Peter Harms, 30, was released from Harris County Jail after posting $50,000 bail for the felony.

“He had a relationship with the victim had recently ended,” Harris County Sheriff’s Lt. John Martin stated. “He had been ordered to stay off the complex where she lived.”
